Over one-hundred Central Oregon teachers traveled to the Oregon State Capitol, in Salem on Presidents day, to participate in the “March for Our Students” rally.
Local and regional teachers joined around four-thousand teachers, students and families- in all, who want lawmakers to put more funding toward public education.
Large class sizes, low graduation rates and low level of funding, by national standards are big concerns. Teachers also say, even dangerous learning environments are what teachers said need to be addressed.
