Due to low snow levels, Mt. Bachelor Ski area will be delaying their scheduled opening date of November 24th. According to their website:
We need a solid winter storm to build our base (especially on the lower mountain) so we can accommodate the volume of skiers and riders that will hit the slopes once the lifts start spinning. As soon as conditions allow, we will open for the season.
Our teams have been doing their snow dances since October, and we want to be out there skiing and riding as much as anyone. We are keeping a close eye on the forecast and will continue making and farming snow whenever possible, but we really need Mother Nature to deliver. We will keep everyone posted on how things are progressing up here, so keep checking back for the latest updates.
Those who pre-purchased lift tickets or made camping reservations for Friday – Sunday will be automatically refunded.
The Reservations Office will be closed Thursday for the holiday.
Reminder that Mt. Bachelor is currently uncontrolled and unpatrolled. Recreational users will be doing so at their own risk and should contact 911 in the case of an emergency.
