La Pine Community Health Center (LCHC) is thrilled to be celebrating its’ 15th anniversary of providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to residents in La Pine and surrounding communities. Over the years, LCHC has grown from a small, dedicated clinic into a comprehensive health center that serves thousands of patients across south Deschutes County, northern Klamath County and western Lake County.
LCHC has remained committed to its mission of delivering accessible healthcare to everyone, regardless of income or insurance status since 2009 when it became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) under the oversight of Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
This milestone is not just a reflection of the services provided by LCHC; it is a reflection of the dedicated staff, board members, and community partners who have supported the health center’s mission throughout the years.
“We are excited to celebrate 15 years of serving our community,” said Erin Trapp, CEO of La Pine Community Health Center. “This anniversary is not only a celebration of our history, but also a reflection of the future of healthcare in our region. We are committed to continuing our legacy of care and expanding services to meet the growing needs of our patients.”
Since its inception, LCHC has made significant strides in improving health outcomes for its patients by focusing on whole-person care, preventive medicine, and patient education. The health center has played an integral role in enhancing access to care, particularly for rural and underserved populations, ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to health and wellness.
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand and improve care, LCHC is on track to open a 27,000 square foot Wellness Center in Spring 2025 that will include oral healthcare, diagnostic imaging, expanded mental and behavioral healthcare and allow space for more primary care providers.
