One of the notable fashion moments of Sunday night’s Grammy Awards came when Nikki Glaser and Heidi Klum tore Benson Boone‘s suit off his body to reveal a sparkly baby-blue jumpsuit underneath. After the best new artist nominee performed his song “Beautiful Things” — complete with one of his trademark flips — he very pointedly grabbed his crotch onstage. Now he’s apologizing.
On his Instagram Stories, Benson wrote, “Sorry for adjusting my jumpsuit so aggressively on stage tonight that thing was extremely restricting in certain areas.”
Benson lost the best new artist trophy to Chappell Roan.
He wasn’t the only artist with a wardrobe malfunction, though: When Beyoncé stood up to accept the best country album Grammy, the white boning from the bodice of her dress popped out and stabbed her in the chest. Ouch.
