The trees are dusted with snow, but it is time to register for spring activities. Bend Park and Recreation District is opening registration for spring recreation and programs and sports leagues on Feb. 10 and Feb. 11.
An online Spring 2025 Online Playlist is available for easy viewing and downloading. Available activities include programs held in April through mid-June and sports leagues with registration deadlines during this time.
Newly adjusted two-day staggered registration opening for seasons ahead
To continue to spread out opening day demand, program registration opening will remain staggered, but for spring and beyond, it will now be over two days instead of three.
“With the successful use of the virtual waiting room and registration system improvements, our team is confident in managing registration opening load to two days,” said Michael Egging, recreation business manager.
Programs will now open for registration as follows:
- Feb. 10: Day 1: Recreation, enrichment and sports programs, camps and leagues
- Feb. 11: Day 2: Swim lessons and aquatics programs
“This should allow for you to plan and register more readily for different types of programs while still not challenging the system and those waiting in line,” added Egging.
Other processes will remain the same including the use of the virtual waiting room and randomizing those waiting in line at 6:00 a.m. each day.
For patrons who haven’t logged into their online account in the past 30 days, they are strongly encouraged to do so in advance at https://register.bendparksandrec.org to be sure they can successfully log in without issue and register for recreation programs.
New registration information night event
BPRD invites community members to attend its Registration Info Night on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Larkspur Community Center where staff can assist attendees to get ready for registration.
With English and Spanish services, staff can set up/update a household account, provide activity details, help build a wish list, and more. Attendees can learn about inclusion services and therapeutic recreation programs for those with disabilities, and staff will assist with the scholarship process as needed. When registrations open Feb. 10 and Feb. 11 at 6:00 a.m. each morning, patrons are encouraged to register online or in person at any of these locations:
- District Office: 799 SW Columbia St. – open at 6:00 a.m. (Feb. 10-11 only)
- Juniper Swim & Fitness Center: 800 NE 6th St. – open at 5:30 a.m.
- Larkspur Community Center: 1600 SE Reed Market Rd. – open at 6:00 a.m.

Scholarships are available to those who qualify. BPRD encourages community members to apply early to ensure the application is processed in time for registration.
