The Redmond Senior Center is proud to present February’s Wellbeing Series focusing on Heart Health in recognition of American Heart Month. This month-long initiative educates, inspires, and empowers the community to take proactive steps toward better heart health.

As part of the series, the Heart Health 101 seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 12, at 10:00 AM at the Redmond Senior Center. Amy Chadwick, an experienced Heart Failure Nurse Navigator from St. Charles Medical Center, will lead this engaging and informative session. Amy will break down essential heart health topics, including:
  • How the heart functions—and what happens when it doesn’t.
  • Key prevention strategies and warning signs of a heart attack.
  • The role of nutrition, exercise, and stress management in maintaining heart health.
  • Fun and surprising heart health facts.
This event is FREE and open to the public, offering attendees valuable knowledge and practical tips to support their heart health journey. Seating is limited, so early arrival is encouraged.

Additionally, on Wednesday, February 26, at 10:30 AM, the Wellbeing Connect session, hosted by Sharon Lainer, will provide an opportunity for deeper discussions on heart health. Participants will gain insights, access helpful resources, and preview next month’s wellbeing topic. The interactive format encourages open conversation and community support for a healthier lifestyle.

The Redmond Senior Center remains committed to fostering wellness and community engagement through its monthly Wellbeing Series, bringing trusted experts and relevant health topics to local seniors and community members.
