MTB Program Director Conor Munns says, “”We’re thrilled to launch our 2025 mountain bike programs with the Spring season this April! Many of our incredible coaches are returning to guide both new and experienced riders. Our programs cater to all skill levels—from beginners to advanced riders—focusing on skill progression, safety, trail etiquette, teamwork, and instilling a lifelong passion for the sport. We can’t wait to hit the trails with you!”.

Combo Bike + Climb All Day Camp: This camp combines mountain biking and climbing! Beat the heat with a morning mountain bike ride, then head back to BEA in the afternoon for rock climbing and games. Coaches will meet participants at Phil’s Trailhead by the pump track, head out to the trails, and ride until noon. Then take a van back to BEA for lunch, rock climbing, and games! This program is awesome for kids who are looking for a full day experience with an active camp! Two age sessions available, 3rd-5th and 5th-8th grade.
Rock Climbing program options include:
  • Four, multi-day Indoor camps in June, July and August. Hosted in the Bend Endurance Academy training facility, focusing on skills practice, movement learning, games and more! Take advantage of their unique setup with youth-specific boulders, air conditioning, and a Tension Board 2, along with the most experienced coaches in Central Oregon.
  • Five, multi-day Outdoor camps in June, July and August.  With the focus on love for the outdoors, good climbing ethics, and technical skills, kids will come out of camp with a range of outdoor climbing experiences! Bend Endurance Academy’s AMGA SPI certified guides will take participants to Smith Rock State Park and other local climbing areas around Bend. Transportation to and from Smith Rock provided and climbing equipment is available!
  • KinderClimb on Wednesdays in the BEA Facility running July-August. For Kindergartner age only (5/6 years old).
  • Summer Recreational Team on Mondays, running June-August. BEA Recreational Teams are designed for youth climbers with little or no climbing experience who are looking for an introduction to a fun and educational climbing program.
MTB program options include:
  • Two sessions of a multi-week Pushbike program at Phil’s Trail. Young riders will practice fundamentals such as balance, handling, and getting more comfortable on a bike. Practice also includes games on and off the bike!
  • Two, multi-day PreK/K outdoor camps at Phil’s Trail.
  • Two, multi-day 1st/2nd grade outdoor camps at Phil’s Trail.

If you are unsure about which program would be the right fit for your kid, email BEA to discuss options together!
