Join us on a snowshoe winter wildlife tracking adventure!
Participants will:
-
learn winter wildlife tracking skills
-
have the opportunity to assist in data collection for citizen science initiatives
-
enjoy the scenery on a beginner-friendly trail
Thanks to generous sponsorship by Pine Mountain Sports, we are able to provide snowshoes for participants to borrow if they don’t have their own. This activity is accessible for beginners, however, participants should have the ability to easily walk 1-2 miles on uneven terrain unassisted. Participants will be responsible for their own safety and comfort on this trip. Carpooling to the trailhead is available–details about carpooling will be provided upon registration.
There is a minimum donation of 25 dollars requested for participation in this activity to offset staffing costs, but we are also committed to cost not being a barrier to participation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to hailee@thinkwildco.org if you are unable to donate but still want to participate.
